Commensurate with the beautiful craftsmanship and perfect location of the Utah Renaissance House, the owners intend to provide an extraordinary university living experience. The owners' objective is to offer a home in which students can create relationships and participate in a household community through shared kitchens, bedrooms, and living spaces. This home also serves as a base to experience and thrive in the overall university community and experience.
The owners are not in the business of renting to students. This is a family owned rental house and they take providing a superior living experience very personally.
The bedrooms are all different from one another in size, closet space, views, location, private balconies, and other aspects; so the rate for each bedroom is different. Prices are now set for the 2025-26 school year and range from 1190 to 1590 for a space in a shared room. Parking is extra and depends on whether you want electric car charging in the garage or open lot parking. Email for pricing and room information.
Rent is paid up front, 1/2 at lease signing and 1/2 in November, 2025. In this way, we avoid all the typical credit checks, mandatory withdrawals, and monthly rent hassles. We will work with people with verified scholarship distribution schedules.
Tenants pay:
(1) the rent, (2) the cost of a renters insurance policy (around $150 a year), paid directly to the insurance agent, (3) $20 for a background check, paid directly to the background check company, (4) parking fees if the tenant selects a parking and/or an electric car charging option (90-125 per month), and (5) a rent deposit (1200) that is fully refundable. Really, no other "fees."
Similar to University housing, each semester's rent is collected in up-front payments. Neither the landlord nor the tenants are hassled by monthly rent payments or the potential disruption when someone living in the house is unable to pay a rent payment.
The Utah Renaissance House does not charge any up front or monthly junk fees such as "application fees," "convenience fees," "green fees," "residence care package" fees, or "Resident Benefit Package (RBP) fees." Many of these pure profit fees are standard in off-campus rentals and are not in the advertised "rent."
The Utah Renaissance House requires a $500 application deposit to limit applications and lease preparation to those people who are serious about living in the house. That deposit is applied entirely (100%) to the security deposit if the tenant timely signs a lease and complies with the initial payment obligations.
The Rent includes (all inclusive): all utilities (natural gas, electricity, water, sewer, garbage); professional weekly cleaning of the entire house including bathrooms and bedrooms (including monthly deep cleaning of all refrigerators and stoves); seven different movie streaming services including Netflix, Max, Apply+, Hulu, Prime, Peacock, and Disney+; a fully furnished room; 5 GB Google fiber internet and Wi-Fi; a fully furnished and decorated house (televisions, pool table, couches, decorations, kitchen tables and chairs, etc.); a fully provisioned house (from paper towels to toilet paper to hand soap); Patio furniture, outdoor heater, and fire pit; provision and laundering of bathroom and kitchen towels; yard maintenance and care; professional quarterly exterior window washing; basic food supplies; the provision and maintenance of all appliances including washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, microwaves; and more.
The Utah Renaissance House will never ask for a social security number or bank account number of either the tenant or the lease guarantor. No data or information from applications is sold. We prepare and collect applications directly with no third party management service harvesting and selling your data. We do not force auto withdrawals for rent and allow multiple payment methods. The required background check is conducted entirely online by a third-party company and the only information provided to the Utah Renaissance House is whether the tenant passes or not. Collecting the rent up-front means we don't need or ask for any credit checks, income information, employment verification, or credit history of the tenant or any lease guarantor. Your finances are your business.
